Tell the world

Want everyone to know that you are responsible for reporting flakes? We've added a new feature that allows you "go public". Activating this new feature will show your username (as registered here on FlakeList.org) on each flake's page reported by you.

To activate this new feature, click the Profile tab, then click the little "edit" link next to "User Profile". Change the setting for "Allow others to see which flakes I've reported" to "Yes" and click the green checkmark to save your settings.

Now when anyone views a flake report that you submitted, they'll see that you submitted it. Eventually, we plan to have a statistics page that will show all kinds of information about reported flakes, including top reporters. Of course, we won't count your reports if you don't want us to, hence the reason for this new feature. We hope in the future that we can offer prizes for top monthly reporters.

--------------------
I'm glad you brought this up because I was thinking that it is far better to remain as anonymous as possible so that the flakes that get our information will not try to pursue us individually for revenge. I have even been considering setting up an email account on gmail, yahoo, etc. just so that my real email address is not threatened. What do you think? I am new to FlakeList, however, I have reported a number of flakes already and some have my resume, phone number and email address. I live in a small town and it seems that every job is a fake one. These spammers probably get a pretty good idea of who is reporting them. Just saying...should I "cloak-up" like they do? I have only hesitated because I don't want to alienate real employers.
I totally understand where you are coming from. Fortunately, FlakeList does not make any of your personal information publicly available unless you specifically put it in your signature or something. So all they would see is that "Sallyroo" has submitted certain flakes.

Besides, this feature has been removed for now due to some technical difficulties. But I just wanted to be clear that we don't give out your personal data -- you have to purposely put it in a public field for anyone to see it. :)

Looks like a scam to me. I NEVER trust any of those types of things. Been burned too many times. Ugh!!

Frosted Flakes Are Filling!

THEY'RE ALL B.S. SCAMMERS TRYING TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFO....NOTHING MORE
Been scammed more on Craigslist than anything! Been searching diligently for about the last 8 months to get a job and to no avail!! The scams that are on Craigslist are ridiculous - TOTALLY SICK OF IT!!! Another pain in the butt is to see the jobs that have been listed for 26 days, 30 days, etc. You can't tell me with the amount of people unemployed that these jobs have not been filled. ALL of the job lists posted on line need to be cleaned up - Monster, InDeed, ALL OF THEM!! Get rid of the ones that have been filled so we are not wasting our time submitting resumes and writing cover letters and NEVER getting a respose!! icon_mad And if it's help they need - hey there's a few million people without work - why not employ some to help ya out???

Thanx flakelist for the information posted - it's been VERY helpful!!! icon_cool
I know what you mean... I have been without a job since December and I have looked on all these websites and see the same thing over and over again.

I personally have been scammed to the extent that I hade to put a FRAUD ALERT on my credit report and Cards!!!
CRAIGSLIST IS A JOKE.... Indeed, snag-a job, Monster all of these have the same ads Really do they think we don't see this???? icon_mad

Yes- craigslist seems to be the worst site for scammers! I have emailed craigslist alerting them to this-nothing is done. Flagging these ads don't work !!
Thank you for the nice compliments, Gary. icon_biggrin

I have to agree with Gary...Craigslist probably could do a lot more to prevent the scammers from posting but for some reason they do not seem to care. I can remember when I would email someone at Craigslist and they would respond personally and take care of things swiftly. Sadly this was in 2005. icon_frown
We here at Flakelist have often thought of creating a place where legitimate employment offers could be posted. We would personally verify each and every one to make sure the posting was a real human/company. icon_biggrin

Frosted Flakes Are Filling!

Great idea- A verified job source where you don't have to surmise that it's already phony! Craigslist is the pits.
FYI_for everyone- DO NOT CLICK ON "BOXBE" AN EMAIL" PRIORITIZER" OF SORTS. IT SHARES ALL OF YOUR CONTACTS WITH EVERYONE ELSE-A MASSIVE EMAIL SPAM SCAM !!!! THIS CRAP IS SHOWING UP ON CRAIGSLIST (WHERE ELSE?) WHERE ADS FOR UNREALISTICALLY PRICED ITEMS GET YOU TO RESPOND, ASKING YOU TO CLICK-HERE TO GET IN QUE,AND EMAIL SORTER-HAHH!!!
DO NOT DO IT !!!!!!
