For the life of me, I CANNOT understand why/how most of the jobs I have applied for on Craiglist ARE BOGUS!!! How in the F can that be done??? Not a one of the DOZENS of jobs I replied to have been legit...none of them requesting to meet in person...asking for personal info (like to have my credit checked then fwd them the confirmation number so THEY can check it)....its like how f-ing stupid to you think I am???? Its just a damn shame....scammers and flakes...on the top of Karmas list I am hoping....

Craigslist (as well as Careerbuilder) doesn't monitor the content of the ads posted. They leave it up to the users to request removal.

Scammers are opportunists, in a bad economy (ppl desperate to find work) they come out like roaches and on free sites with no one to monitor them they are free to continue to scam.

Sadly, ppl fall for them.

OK...that being said, should I be leary of the ones who also want me to take an IQ quiz or follow some link to a pre interview screening??? Don't know who you can and can't trust....its sure is f---ed up...to say the least...thank you for your reply

Be leary of anyone who hires you on the spot without meeting you, requests a credit check, IQ test or pre-interview screening.

The hiring process hasn't changed, just the method of how you post a job and send a resume. Companies only hire after a face-to-face interview and never request any personal information or screening via the internet.
