I received a robocall from 253-382-9901 claiming to have impossibly low credit card rates for "preferred" Visa/Mastercard clients. I hit the option to speak with a live person. The man did not identify the issuing bank and tried to get me to answer a questionnaire to "verify eligibility". Heck no! My issuing bank should already have my information and they should've pre-screened me for a lower rate! So I kept asking more probing questions to try to find out which bank he represented but he always kept attempting to "verify eligibility". So I just told him to put me on their Do No Call list. He sounded flustered at this point and refused to put me on their DNC list and said they were going to call me tomorrow. So I put a block on their number, reported the attempted ID theft to my bank, and filled out a complaint form with the FTC. Now I'm here spreading the word!
