I'm currently looking for a new room to rent. I have lived with my current roommate and former boyfriend for well over a year now. When we first moved in together, we settled on this place in late October of last year. I ended up so miserable that by late December, we were gone.

It was with this couple and I found them via CL. It seemed nice at first...our own bedroom and bathroom and shared general living space. But then it got bad. She started accusing us of ramping the electric bill to $300. Right now, together, we pay $100 average on electric, water, and garbage. They would turn the hot water off on the washing machine and turn off the air when they were gone (yet get irritated if they realized we left our windows open). They made us keep all of our kitchen supplies (as in pots and pans) in our room because they took up all the cabinet space with stuff they never used and used a whole giant cabnet on boxed noodles and had a whole shelf dedicated to f**king instant mashed potatoes! Most of our food, and as I said, all our kitchen stuff had to be kept in our room. To top it all off, we left them a note on the fridge 30 days before we moved sayign we were looking for an apartment. We found a place and told the boyfriend we were moving out. He said we could get our deposit back after we moved everything. As soon as we did, she decided she didn't want to give our money back. It was $200 which may not seem like a lot, but we struggled after that since food stamps took a while to go through...we were eating off of found change, I kid you not.

Anywho, the thing I'd be posting about is the 'leasing' and stealing our deposit. If I'm correct, you cannot 'lease' out a room when you are leasing from an apartment complex. I know these people are terrible roommates but they obviously cannot keep roommates since I saw her posting again as soon as we moved out (even though she claimed we had to be gone since she found somebody else, lied) and now she's emailing in reply to my post and I was just thinking earlier today how a listing that was just posted was very similar to where I lived before. I don't want anybody else to have to go through what I did. She was one of the stupidest people I ever met in my entire life (but I won't go into that) and she was very manipulative of her pansy bf who did whatever she said or wanted.

I just want to know if I can post about the illegal leasing and her stealing the money but I got a little long winded, I'm still angry about that.

Absolutely, Shiloh!! Regardless of what happened, you were still scammed and taken advantage of and that person(s) deserve to be put on the Flakelist. I hope you get your money back and find a great place to live.

It has many months ago so I'm never getting the money back but I never want this to happen to anybody else ever again. I'll be posting about her in a bit, thank you!
