Dalton, John
Scammer!
Since: Thursday, January 7, 2010
Email Address: jdalton.hr
gmail.com
Location: milwaukee
States affected: WI - wisconsin
Notes:
I have been job hunting using Craigslist, and I got a suspicious-sounding email from John Dalton. Identical to another flakelist.org submitter's response, it read:
My name is John Dalton with Human Resources. We've received quite a few replies for this position, and I admit I admire the professionalism you exhibited in your reply. You seem more than qualified for this position and we would like to set up a first interview.
As a precaution, we like to run a background and credit check before your first phone interview. Would you be open to this?
--------
There is no reason for them to do either of these things before even just a phone interview. Not only that, but the email is identical to another user's response. Scam!

John Dalton
I have received 2 e-mails from John Dalton. The location is Florida. This is the first one.
Thanks, John I asked him for information regarding the company, where it was and I received another e-mail from him, which had nothing to do with what I asked. This is the second one. Thanks for the quick reply. We have a long standing relationship with a credit reporting bureau (free service). Please fill out the information here to continue the interview process: There is a section at the end where you will be asked to send a copy of your report. Please fill out my email jdalton.hr@gmail.com. Reply back when done so we can begin your phone interview (the first will be with me) and background check. Thanks again, John Dalton |

I am getting the same emails.
First I thought this was weird for all the same reasons. I am going to report this as a scam on craigslist and then try to hunt his email down. I have nothing better to do I am laid off and have nothing better to do. LOL |

I got the same e-mails
I got the same exact emails as all the rest of you, I usually assume the second they send back an e-mail asking for my credit report that its a scam. Id say thats a fair assumption right? When your searching for a job and someone finally emails you back you get a little hopeful until you open it and realize oh ok its just another scam. Its almost to the point where Im just going to give up with craigslist. Way to ruin a resource scammers!!!! |
