Notes:
Received an e-mail dated January 12, 2010, 1138 hours, from one "Stephanie Vlcek", allegedly from a company named Recruitments Inc. Funny...they are not in the Google search engine. The e-mail stated I was "selected" as one of the top 15 for an interview, out of 100's of resumes submitted for the position of "Operations Assistant". The E-mail stated interviews would commence January 12th through 15th, 2010 and that either she (Stephanie Vlcek) or her Senior Staffing Consultant, Jessica Alvarado, would be consulting with me. Of course, they requested I use their link to obtain my own credit report at http://www.quickccreports.com. The link goes to http://freecreditreport.com. The e-mail stated "Recruitments Inc" had an account set up with the credit reporting agency that allegedly prevented any fees from being incurred by candidates. This part you'll really love..."We require that all potential candidates complete this (credit report)as this ensures that their future employee is credible, trustworthy, and can be an asset of the company." Two contact numbers were documented on this e-mail an were as follows: O:866.432.5130 and F:866.623.5659. I live in Northern Colorado and from what was documented on this site, they are apparently expanding their territory!

I just got the exact same email here in Maryland, surburban Washington, DC. I was on to the scam because of the wording of the job "response." She said the client company was "outsourcing the audience and review of potential employees..." This sent up a red flag to me, and when I went to the web site for the "free" credit report, and had to supply a credit card, I immediately backed out. Obviously, the owners of the web site are the scammers, and we should try to get them shut down. |
