Yet another company demanding a credit report before even granting an interview. And the email specifically states that if you refuse you will not be given an interview. I have gotten several replies to craigslist ads that are basically the same as this

Thank you for e-mailing us. In case my ad was not extremely clear, the responsibilities of this position are as follows: you will be answering the phone and taking messages when applicable, you will be scheduling our company meetings, and running errands for the company for things such as purchasing supplies and making the bank deposits (you will always be provided with a company car). While you are running errands, you will also be given one of our company credit card(s) for all business purchases.

You are very qualified for this position, and more so than the other 18 people we have received resumes from. I would like to find an available time to take the next step with you. However, before I can set up a formal meeting, Nexas will require that you attain a recent(from the past 10-15 business days) credit report. We enforce this because our company had a couple bad encounters with prior employees exploiting access to one of the company credit cards.

Both Nexas and I prefer it if you use http://2010-freescore.com to attain your check as they are offering this currently at zero cost to you. We have also found that their scores always report back the most accurate information.

After you have submitted all required information, their company will display your personal credit report. Then, you will email my department your reported credit score, a phone number that you can be easily reached, and your availability to schedule an interview.
Please do not email me your complete credit report, as it will contain private information. If you have a low credit score, it will never prevent you from employment. Personally, I had a fairly low score when I started.

If you do not wish to send in a recent credit check, unfortunately I will need to contact our second choice.
