Scammer!

Post Title: Data Entry
Location: bakersfield
States affected: CA - california
Notes:
I applied for a data entry position and got this email back asking me to go on a website and obtain my credit score for my employment file. There is no reason to verify my identity this way when I have a social security card, DL and passport!
Another scammer and hopefully someone else sees this and sees them for what they are and don't go to the credit score site! I also reported the listing on Craig's List as a spammer.
Good Afternoon,
Hiring Staff is a stafffing and recruitment company with thousands of satisfied clients across the nation. We offer successful candidates the opportunity to work for our clients in full-time or temporary positions. The email you replied to is a tentative offer of employment for the available secretary position with a local company located in downtown.
This position pays a generous hourly wage around $12-$16.00 base on experience and also provides great benefits. We are hiring rapidly at this time, and are fully prepared to make you employment offer, provided that you comply with the rest of the recruitment terms.
This is a full-time position. You will be providing administrative support including, but not limited to, answering phones, completing reports, tracking shipments, and some minor inventory management. Some experience working as an administrative assistant is preferred, but not required. Full paid training will be provided and usually last on average for 1 week for most candidates.
To accept these terms and move on to the next stage of the recruitment process, you must provide us with a current copy of your credit score to go in your employment file. The company has a zero-tolerance policy in regards to theft of company property. Your credit scores or payment history are not important to us; rather it is a means of verifying your identity, and will also serve as your acceptance of the position. Once you fill out the report, an email is automatically generated that notifies us of your acceptance of the position. If still avaiable, we will call or email you regarding your acceptance and give you the address and information regarding the job orientation. Be sure to bring 2 forms of identification with you to the orientation.
Your free score can be obtained here: http://hiringstaff.net/freecheck6972/?mn=employee10458
This tentative offer will expire on Wednesday the 28th, as orientation is the following Thursday. If you choose not to accept it, or have any questions, please email me directly.
We appreciate your interest in the job position and hope you decide to come aboard!
