Check Overpayment Scam
"Why would they send a check ahead of time to pay me before I do the job?? What employer would ever pay you up front?" Well, Erykka, it is because they are trying to run the "Check Overpayment" scam on ya. Here is a government link explaining it a bit further. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/12/checkoverpayment.shtm Glad you caught it before you got suckered in. SOooooo many others have got taken by this one scam. I feel awful for them!! But as the old adage goes, "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is." Especially in this case. |

The "NO PO BOX" gives it away.
They insist on that to avoid using the US Mail or the government mail service of whatever country they're in. |
