I posted a job request on craigslist and received a similar response. I had not contacted them, but it appeared legitimate (until I found flakelist). |

I posted my resume in CL 2 days ago
and replied to this email before checking to see if it was a scam/spam. :: Sender: Kim 2 emails to look out for: kchristine40@gmail.com and tybilodwickil265@yahoo.com We need someone to come in before the 16th of next week. Kinda short notice, I know, but is there anyway you would be able to do this? Let me know when you get the chance. Thanks in advance! |

More on KIM
I am very cautious now when applying to craigslist help wanted. I have a shadow resume that I will send, no dates, no locations, no contact information. I got this same email from Ms K.... she took it a step farther when I responded with needing to releave my concerns with possible scam attempts.. she emailed me back! Hey, this is Kim. I had responded to you're resume ad earlier today on craigslist by mistake. We are looking for a new receptionist to come in next week for our office (I work for a research company and I was EXTREMELY tired when I got into work) and I believe I may have your ad mixed up with someone elses ad. You had an ad posted in the resume section and I was meaning to respond to the ad a few spots above yours, not the one you posted, but for some reason I ended up responding to your ad unintentionally, thats why my message seemed so vague. So I apologize for the confusion and for not replying earlier when it happened to try and rectify the situation. I didn't want to be rude and not answer your email incase you were waiting on a reply from me, I just wanted to let you know that it wasn't your ad I was responding to. Kim P.S.- If you want, I can see if I can get you in to the study group we are having this Saturday (September 4th) since I already contacted you anyway. The panel is a one hour focus group discussion (pre-testing for an electronic product being released this fall) , and its paying about $150 bucks. I'm not sure how old you are, but as long as your over 18, you should be able to get through (I'm assuming you are over 18). If you want to attend, use the signup form on our site at pcorpinc.co.cc/augustsignup and give me a call at the office once you signed up, (866) 952-8889 and hit extention 34. I'll be in the office for about another hour so you can call me now if you would like to ask any questions but if by chance you don't reach me today the best time to call me is during the afternoon around 6:30 or so as I'm usually extra busy during the day. You can also call Josh at extension 23, he's the assistant to the head panel coordinator for this saturday. I can't make any guarantees, but I'll see what I can do. Anyway, good luck to you out there. And again, sorry for responding to your post unintentionally and waiting so late in the day to inform you about this! I figured doing this would make up for my little "mistaken identity" accident! Have a blessed day! Kim Pocavich Pinecone Office Management Pinecorp Inc. Now She's Kim P. Christine
I got almost the SAME EXACT email as cresncty & IHateFlakes, just with different dates for the "focus group" & now she is going by Kim Christine. We are so fortunate to have the internet as a tool to weed out potential scam artists (just as they are using the power of the internet to initiate their scams. I hope people will continue to use this & other forums to expose these low-lives. Be smart but don't give up your job search: I actually had a REAL interview with a REAL professional/business today after posting an ad on Craigslist with my qualifications! |

Kim is still doing her worst - now in Michigan home of the unemployed
I got the SAME exact email. I am completely floored. I actually called the number she listed and left a message for 'Kim' just momemts ago - before I googled her company and saw this site...lets see if she responds to me - I doubt it. I can not for the life of me understand why people pry on others that are desperate for work and WANT a job. Im completely floored. Heres the email to me to prove its the same: ----- Hey, this is Kim. I had responded to you're resume ad earlier today on craigslist by mistake. California CL posting - same response
Interestingly enough, her message came from K Christine but the email was signed as the following: Kimberly P. Miller Pine Corp Office Management Pine Corp Inc. You'd think they'd remember to keep it consistent. I figured it was a scam when I went to the website per her instructions, and it said that the survey site was 'downtown Hacienda Heights'. Given that I live in Hacienda Heights which is unincorporated and not even a city, we don't actually have a downtown... It's unbelievable the length these people will go to waste our time! |

Downtown Hacienda Heights...now that is funny! Alto is right: Flakemistress once had relatives that lived in Hacienda Heights. There is definitely not any downtowns or uptowns for that matter. |

This kim Who is kim :D
Hello, I hope this is the right email address. If not, my apologies in advance, just ignore this email, sorry about that! Anyway, I saw your ad on craigslist saying you were looking for a job (I think thats what you said in your post, Correct me if I'm wrong though.) I don't know if this would be something that you would be interested in or not, but I believe there is a focus group going on somewhere downtown this weekend on Saturday, December 18th, and their paying $150 dollars to anybody who participates in the study. You can call them (866) 952-8889 to see if you can get in (I think you have to sign up through their website, but I don't know what it is off the top of my head!) I just did one last month, they like have you test out a whole bunch of products then sit you down with like 18 other people to discuss your "thoughts" and whatnot (I don't know if they do that everytime, but that what happened when I did it!). Anyway, I really hope this helps you out with your situation, I know it can be tough out there. But I wish you the best, Good Luck with your situation! :-) ps- My name is Kim btw, nice to meet you! I know this probably wasn't exactly what you were looking for, but I felt it might help. Again, good luck out there! |
