<sharongnewsome@newsomepropertiesllc.com> Re: $1500 / 3br - Art Deco, MODERN CYPRESS CONDO FOR RENT (Cypress)

Hello, I'm sorry I wasn't able to get back to you sooner! Things have been so hectic for me these last couple of days!

The good news is that the rental is still available! We had an offer from the first person we showed it to, but now it appears that they are changing their mind, so we need to start showing it again as soon as possible. You were the second one to email me about it. It is the whole place that is for rent, and it's in pristine condition.

We know a lot of prospective renters want to do a quick look of the property, but my husband doesn't want me to mass send out the address as a measure of safety. Last time we did that without verifying people, the empty property was broken into and vandalized. We don't want that to happen again! I CAN tell you that it's a very special property, that would normally rent for quite a bit more than other comparable properties in the neighborhood. All utilities are connected and will be transferred into your name. You will be responsible for cable, internet, and phone, if you decide to have these services.

Just to confirm, we DO allow pets at this property. The rental term is 12-month lease, but can be switched into a 6-month lease if preferred. We just ask that you give us fair notice if you are moving out. If you would like to set up an appointment, go to the link below and request the free copy of your rental / credit report. We use this company for all the properties we manage. Just fill out the form and indicate that you want the free credit report. The actual scores on the report aren't important to us, it's more of a formality to have it on file, to make sure you are who you say you are. Get your report here: //leasing-reports.com/property00310/ Remember, we only need to see the page about the rental history. That will be all you will need to bring with you to the showing.

As far as getting together to see the property goes, I am available to show it any time from 10:00 am on, for the next couple of days. Let me know when you've printed out your credit report, and we will set up a time to do your walk-through. Thank you once again for your interest!

Sharon Newsome I can not believe the nerve of these type of ppl. Trying to scam hard working people just trying to find a place to live. this sucks. What to do now that you have been scammed

1. Call credit card company, cancel card, inform them you have been scammed. Then cancel the order.

2. Contact police and file a report.

3. If you do not have credit protection yet you might want to think about getting it.

4. Clean out your computer for virus/keylogger etc.

5. Read what others have done from other Newsome/Jamieson/Hunter/ etc. comments.

Remember this is not a person it is a group of scammers in another country trying to steal your information.

Now go back and flag the posting. Inform Craiglist and do not use your comptuer for sensitive informaiton or online banking until you know its clean.

Good Luck.

Look at the craigslist ad carefully and be suspicious if you notice:

-No local address or local phone number

-Hidden words or gibberish (highlight the ad to see them)

-Non-local references

To clean out your computer

Run a full virus Scan. Adaware has a free download that will get rid of cookies but if you do not have a good virus protector you will want to research which spyboot will be best for your computer. You will need to research what is best for you. The free downloads will not do enough.

Clean out your Temp Internet files, run a defrag. These are all located in the control panel of your comuputer.

Change passwords but do so once you have run the scan and when the computer is not hooked to the interned.

Its best to talk to a computer tech and just get your computer cleaned out. Hope that helps. A few weeks ago I listed a variety of things to watch out for when looking on Craigslist.

1. Highlight the add and look for the words or gibberish in the background.

2. Google the heading then the words craigslist. If its a scam many locations will come up. Also search major cities and look for the same ad and information. They are hitting everywhere.

3. If the price and pics look too good to be true they are. Look at the background. Does it look staged? Or if not are there trees when there should not be trees?

4. Ask a lot of questions about the location and property. If they keep asking you to fill out a credit report give it up.

5. No phone number or specific cross streets? Big Red Flag.

6. Never give out your personal information.

8. They tend to use a few words when you look at the various postings you will see the repeating of things.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED GO BACK AND FLAG. Help everyone out. Report to Craigslist.

Oh my!!! I fell for this very scam as well!!! I got suspicious of this company when the reasons they gave me for having room did not match the reasons for not having room eventually. I was also not comfortable with their insistence that I use their credit check link as opposed to freecreditscore.com, annualcreditreport.com or any other links. Unfortunately I fell for the gimmick and provided them with my information. Now I am caught up in trying to clean up the potential harm that may be caused by these scumbags. Thank you for explaining to me all the steps I should take to protect myself. I will definitely use this website frequently and will flag the ads on craigslist ASAP

I tracked them to the Bahamas

Seematt when they were under Susan Hunter/Shelly Hunter they came up in the Bahamas. I think they steal info to continue to set up these accounts. However Susan Newsome has been around a few months now. They find ways to prevent being caught for their scamming. I started on Flakelist when I received a scam response for an add I responded to. It was obvious it was a scam. Now I have devoted time and effort to try to stop these scammers. Until Craigslist charges or sets up security they will continue. I actually found a real place on Craigslists months ago and am very happy. However over the past few months the scammers are in full force. I go daily to flag them. I hope anyone that has been scammed or has used Flakelist will do the same. If we stick together and fight this we can make a dent. For each person they scam we can save one from being scammed. They do read this site as some are changing to pictures that are a bit more "real" but they are still stupid. The background or decor does not match the area they are posting in. How do you have a full yard of grass and full green trees in the southwest? Not with an average home or even a million $$ home. As smart as they think they are...they are stupid. Lets keep flagging them.

Second email, sent AFTER this dumbass followed the hyperlink and filled out the credit report:

Hi there,

I'm so sorry for this...but the couple that was looking at the place

originally, actually came back and put their deposit down. I

mentioned that things have been hectic around here... I guess they had

been calling me frantically, and my phone was in a spot in our house

that, for whatever reason, gets really bad reception...so I didn't

even notice they were trying to call back. Anyways, they just got

back in touch with my husband and signed the lease, and put down the

deposit and everything. I'm really sorry for all this confusion.

We own multiple properties in the area so we will definitely keep you

on the top of the list if anything else comes available soon.

Thanks,

Sharon

lucky for me i have a friend that does online security for a govt. agency, so i think i will be alright. I'm just posting to FRONT THESE F*ERS OFF!!!

Sharon Newsome LLC is scamming Boston too

Same s**t as all of the above. I got weary when they asked for a credit report. Thanks to Google and flakelist, they didn't snare me.
