Hello,
I appreciate you e mailing us and taking the time to send in your resume. Just in case the posting was not clear, the duties of this position are as follows:
-You will be answering telephone calls and logging messages whenever applicable.
-You will be scheduling the company group meetings, and running errands for the company for things such as purchasing supplies and making bank deposits (you will be supplied a company car during business hours).
-While you are running errands, you will also be given use of one of our company credit card(s) for all business purchases.
You seem more than qualified for our open position and more so than the other 25 applicants we accepted resumes from. I am interested in taking the next step with you. However, before I am able to schedule a final interview, my company will require that you obtain a up to date (past 25 days) credit score. We have started this because unfortunately our company has had several bad incidents with prior employees taking advantage of having access to our company credit card.
Both the HR department and I will prefer that you utilize the following site to obtain your score as this site is offering the check at zero cost for the score(unlike other sites). We also found that their scores constantly report back the most factual and accurate information, and they are one of the most reliable trusted sources on the internet.
Get your report here -

After you submit all of the needed information, the website will present to you your unobjective score. Then, you need to email me the reported credit score (the number only), a telephone number that you can be easily reached, and your availability schedule to arrange an interview. I ask you to not email me the total readout, as it will have confidential subject matter. If you carry a lower than expected credit score, it will never prevent you from obtaining a position with us. I had a reasonably low score when I began working here and I never had an issue. If you do not want to complete a up to date credit score, unfortunately the company will require that I move on to the second choice.
Personally, I desire to fill this position with a new friendly face and I am looking forward to your quick response.
Thanks,
HR Assistant

Got the same garbage in South Jersey. I like how the title says it's from the "Hiring Manager," but the email is signed "HR Assistant." |

SCAMMED!
I responded to an advertisement on Craigslist for a Call Center Collections position from this 'company'; this is an EXACT COPY of the form letter I received. I felt some mild trepidation at sending my credit information through a secondary link, but economic times are tough, and I figured if it means getting a gig, what the hell... The next morning, I attempted to contact the credit monitoring agency (CreditScore) I was referred to by the link, only to have ANOTHER ON pop up when I checked. The credit agency I contacted the night before IS legitimate, however, the swapped link immediately sent up a red flag. I've contacted both my local Craigslist, local law enforcement, and the FTC. I only hope it's not too late. |

DMDabney, I am so sorry you got scammed and so glad that you contacted the proper authorities. Did you also run some scans and defrag on your computer to make sure those morons didn't put a keylogger (or worse) on there? If not, let me know and I'll post my little tutorial for you. :) ~FM |
