Post Title: Administrative Assistant Wanted

Location: sacramento

States affected: CA - california

Notes:
I was searching for employment using Craigslist-Sacramento and came across this job posting. The following day, I received the following response:

After reading through countless resumes, we've decided you'd be perfect for this position!

We'd love to make you part of our staff. However, we'll need a couple things before we can hire you. The hiring process is split up into three parts--a preliminary credit check, a face-to-face interview, and a background check.

The credit check is now company policy in all hiring processes, to ensure the seriousness of the applicant. Your credit score will NOT affect any decisions on employment. So don't worry... it's just a first step to get to know you better.

Click here to get your free credit report. This part is required. Once this is done, simply send us the transaction ID # you get, and we'll set you up for an interview in the next couple days.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thankfully, I did not click on the list because I know that first of all, you will be contacted via phone for an interview and secondly, IF a credit check is required to further your candidacy in the application process, it is not requested until AFTER your interview. This holds true for drug tests, background checks, reference checks, etc. These scumbags are preying on individuals who are desperately trying to put their life back together after being involuntarily separated because of all of this outsourcing garbage, etc. and it's absolutely disgusting! I have reported this dirtbag to craigslist and the Federal Trade Commission in the hope that something will be done. This has to stop and if it means that there are more stringent restrictions placed on internet usage, then so be it - I am all for it if it stops or at least lessens this type of crime. Because although I did not go to the credit link, these pieces of garbage have my name, address, and phone number. (Great.)

Beware and good luck!
