Scammer!

Since: Sunday, June 12, 2011

Email Address: payment@netassistanttrader.com

Post Title: 2005 Artic Fox Camper

Location: phoenix

States affected: AZ - arizona

Notes:
I found a camper listed on Craigslist in Phoenix. The seller emailed me that the unit was still available, but that he had to leave town to help organize his daughter's wedding. He stated in his email that before he left, he left the camper and the signed, notartized title with NAT. He stated that once I registered with NAT, they would sent me an invoice. I was to make payment to them and they would arrange the shipping of the camper. I would have 10 days afer receipt to check it out and accept it. Once I did that, NAT would release the money to him. I wire the money $6000 as instructed by NAT. I have not received the camper, they will not respond to any email requested. The seller has since sent me a second email, inviting me to sign up with NAT if I was still interested in the camper. I emailed him back that I had already purchased this item and was still waiting for delivery. He now refuses to responde. His email is Mr.JohnnyGarcia71@gmail.com. The pictures of the unit he supposedly was selling to me are located at https://picasaweb.google.com/115467942568698277235/11602?authkey=Gv1sRgCLrC9vOhqLy-nAE#

Ugh, Im scared now...

I think I am dealing with the same seller and now truly believe I have fallen victim to scam. I sent a message regarding the status of my payment using the contact form and have received no reply whatsoever. How can I get directly in touch with NAT? Before I committed to the purchase I contacted them and asked them for the legitimacy of the seller and to confirm that the vehicle was in their custody. They told me that he was a long time member and that the vehicle was with them. That made me feel safe so I went ahead and sent payment. Its been several days now and no sign of a car.

Communication with him was through a different e-mail but it still included Johnnygarcia in the sn.

I feel at a loss as to what to do.

How did you wire the money? Bank transfer or Western Union?

Bank Wire Transfer

In circumstances like this, if you are going to wire money always use a bank wire transfer instead of Western Union because everyone involved in the transfer must be identified/verified by the bank making it harder for the recipient to get the money anonymously or perpetuate a scam.

What you need:

•Recipient bank name (the bank you’re sending money to)

•Recipient bank ABA number or other code

•Payee’s account number at the bank

•Any additional information you should provide (further delivery instructions, etc)

You will pay a fee for this service higher than Western Union but it's worth it.

Regarding NAT, I reviewed their website and I don't like the fact that the only way to contact them is through email (no phone).

I just noticed something

One of the pictures of the camper has the VIN#. Run a report (www.vehiclehistoryinc.com/Vin) and see who this really belongs to.

Great information and good find, TPTB!! I hope they can track their funds down AND get them back. $6000 is quite a bit of money...hopefully this NAT company will also help.

I would also file a police report and send a message to NAT that if the matter wasn't resolved by the end of the week I was going to retain an attorney. (that should get their attention).

Hope you kept any written correspondence you had from NAT and John Garcia.

NAT Scam in NC too

We too were scammed by NAT. We purchased a boat and got the same story of going to assist in his daughters wedding. We lost $7,200 in the deal. Have you made any headway?
