Received e-mail below, along with MS-Word "employment application". Cannot locate "ESS Group" via internet whose business is foreign trade.

My name is Robert Parilla, I am an HR manager, and I will be in charge of the selection process. You are more than welcome to address any questions to me, I am here to assist you.
As you already know, you’re being offered a job with an international trading and consulting company, offering various consulting and supporting services to companies and individuals in Europe and North America. At this time we’re introducing our extended services for the residents of North America, and are therefore in search of Assisting Manager, representing our company across the United States.
You, as a potential Assisting Manager, will be dealing with the administrative and financial part of the deals. You will be in charge of coordinating deals locally, collecting payments, monitoring deadlines, filing reports, sending invoices, etc. This job will not require you to possess selling or advertising skills. At this time we’re offering work from home, with promotion and in-office upon successful evaluation (30 days). The flexible hours will allow you to combine jobs, however we require the work to be performed in the timeframe of 9am-5pm your local time.
If selected, you will be assigned to an instructor for the first 30 days, who will supply you with all needed training materials and guidance, so even if part of this job is new to you, do not be afraid to accept it.
Your salary remains full during evaluation - $2,500 monthly plus instant commission.

got the exact same email at the end of June. i replied and didn't like the tone of the response. seems too good to be tru. today, i received another email following up with me and telling me that an opening is still avaiable for me. i responded with many questions. i'll let you know what kind of response i get. whole thing seems very questionable to me. and if i read the "application" correctly, it seems that they would like you to provide a business bank account in order to process transactions better and get more commissions. yeah...i'm thinking this is a version of the nigerian check cashing scams set for a bad economy with high unemployment. again, i will report here when/if i get a response to me email. |

I also received this email and filled out the application. They then sent me an employment contract. I filled out the employment contract and I received an email from my personal instructor, Ashley Robinson. The email said she would call me soon to introduce herself and for me to send her the hours that I wanted to work. Also, she wanted my bank account information. I then called the number listed on the email and only received a voicemail. After I left a message she sent me another email that was very similar to the first. I have since told her that I will not go any further until I am contacted by phone. Online I was able to find a company called Compass Group out of Norway that has the same address except for one letter. Compass Group has a company under them titled ESS but isn't called European Support Services, it is actually called Eurest Services Sweden. I have emailed all this information to Compass Group to see if there is any validity to this. I will leave whatever feedback I receive on this page. |

I received feedback from the company in Norway that ESS Group is pretending to be. They said there is no connection or affiliation between the two companies even though the contract I received had an almost identical address and they tried to use a similar name. I sent Robert Parilla and Ashley Robinson an email in regards to this. Ashley said she would call me to explain the validity of their company but I never received a phone call. I can't imagine a scenario where this is legitimate. |
