Received the SAME EMAIL

And after researching them while in chat I confronted the agent and here is the transcript :)

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Recruiter'

Recruiter: Hello! Thank you for contacting "Live Support" How may I help you today?

Bosslady:I received an email about a position with American Fidelity Medical.

Recruiter: I'd be happy to talk with you about the job interview with our company.

The job description is: Medical Transcription from your home.

Recruiter: My name is Sandy

Recruiter: This is your job interview. This is a guaranteed job!

It looks like you are being hired!

We are looking for individuals with experience in customer service, data entry or admin assistant to convert documents for us.

Did you go to school?

What working experience have you had?

Tell me a little bit about your background.

BossLady: Yes I am in school now.

Recruiter: Great

Recruiter: What is your course of study and work experience?

Bosslady: My experience ranges from Licensed Healthcare Agent to Loan servicing and Processing in the Mortgage Industry. My course of Study is Business Admin with concentration in Healthcare.

Recruiter: Great

Recruiter: You may not need any training at all but if you do....It is all at your own pace in your own time. It usually takes a minimum of one month.

Recruiter: Have you read and submitted the Terms of Service before coming to this live chat interview?

Recruiter: http://www.nhce.net/applicationnhce.htm

Bosslady: I'm not sure I just clicked on the link in my email.

Recruiter: Please read the Terms of Service. Everything is explained in the six pages of the Terms of service. Once you have read and submitted it please come back to continue your interview.

I will wait for you!

Bosslady: OK

Bosslady: OK just finished

Recruiter: We will train you and bring you up to speed to the way we transcribe. We assign you your own personal trainer to do that. The trainer designs a program specifically for you. Based on your background, experience, and previous training. That way you don't have to repeat what you already know. Here's the guarantee: as soon as you are accurate in your transcription we move you over to 'live' work and you start getting paid right away by us.

Bosslady: Ok I read that and my question is how loing does it normally take for most people to be moved over to live work? And are there any instances where you could not be moved over to live work after training? I would not want to invest $295 in software that may never be used because I didn't meet the requirements.

Recruiter: You don't get paid by the hour but by what you do...how much work you produce. However, I have had some of our professional MT's say that based on their production they seem to earn about $20 to $25 an hour.

How do you get paid? You are paid from 5-11 cents per line on the first of each month by check via mail.

The rate you receive for pay is based first and foremost on what the doctor pays us. Then the next criteria is your accuracy, reliability and experience.

You tell us what days you want to work. Then you transcribe anytime that day or night. It is very flexible.

Recruiter: You may be ready to start workingl!

Three exams are given in the beginning and if you pass, then you are put to work immediately and start getting paid right away. You only need to be accurate according to our standards.

I am sure you will do just fine.

Recruiter: You only need training in so far as you must be accurate...that's all.

Bosslady: That didnt answer my question

Bosslady: Is there a number that I can call for more help?

Recruiter: As I stated it only takes until you are accurate. We don't have statistics as everyone trains and works at their own pace.

Recruiter: All of the recruiters are online as that is the most efficient way to assist more people and it’s free. As we are an online company our communications are all done on live chat or via email.

Recruiter: You will be able to contact your trainer if you need assistane

Recruiter: We provide everything! Training if you need it and a guaranteed job making good money.

Your only investment is in the software.

This is all in the terms of service you already accepted,

Recruiter: You can take the exams right after you install the software. The software is required to place the templates on your computer. This makes your job a lot easier.

Recruiter: Also, as part of your software download, you receive samples of what your work should look like. You just match your work with the samples.

Recruiter: The MT Pro is the total communication link between you and us. That's how you receive your work. That's how you send your work back to us.

Recruiter: The software utilizes state-of-the-art techniques to ensure patient confidentiality and to keep all of the transactions and operations in accordance with the HIPAA regulations and guidelines.

Bosslady: Thats fine and if you need more training is there extra cost?

Recruiter: No We will train you until you are accurate

Recruiter: This is what you do.

Go to this link and get the software:

http://mtsoftware.org/HOP_payment.asp

After you have the software - you can download it the same day. They give you step by step instructions right on line. Follow the instructions and before you know it, you will be talking with us. We will guide you every step of the way.

Welcome aboard.

Recruiter: http://mtsoftware.org/HOP_payment.asp

Bosslady: Also do you need the foot pedal during training?

Recruiter: No the foot pedal is nice but not required

Bosslady: Ok if I want to make two payment using my bank account how do I set that up?

Recruiter: This is your job interview. This is a guaranteed job!

It looks like you are being hired!

We are looking for individuals with experience in customer service, data entry or admin assistant to convert documents for us.

Did you go to school?

What working experience have you had?

Tell me a little bit about your background.

Recruiter: You can pay $150 and you can download the software and start today. The balance can be paid later during your training usually within a month. The 2nd payment of $155 must be paid during your training. We will send you an email when it is time to make the final payment.

Recruiter: http://mtsoftware.org/hop_partial.asp

Recruiter: Sorry. You can use that link to make a partial payment.

Bosslady: OK

Bosslady: The link is for credit or debit card and it states to contact chat support for other methods of using bank funds.

Recruiter: If you do not have a credit card you can purchase a prepaid VISA giftcard at a local grocery or drug store to make your software payment. The normal fee for a prepaid VISA giftcard is $5.

Bosslady: "If you don't have a credit or debit card and you wish to make your payment with other funds you have in your bank please come to Live-Chat and we will show you how to get started today." I was thinking that there would be a way for me to get started now...

Bosslady: ?

Recruiter: That's just what I gave you. You can use a temporary card instead

Bosslady: Ok

Recruiter: We dont take checks or money orders

Bosslady: OK is this an accurate number for the Company 302-351-6188?

Recruiter: Yes that is the corporate office.

Bosslady: Can I talk to someone there now?

Recruiter: The recruiters are all online.

Recruiter: There is only office staff at the corporate office.

Bosslady: But wouldn't they know about the people working for the company?

Bosslady: Or the job offered.

Recruiter: They won't give out any information about our transcriptionist if that is what you want

Bosslady: No thats not what I want...so what is your name in case I do need to call. I am going to get the prepaid card after we finish here.

Recruiter: They can explain the job you are applying for but they will send you back here to complete the application process.

Bosslady: ok

Recruiter: My name is Sandy

Bosslady: Your last name please Sandy

Recruiter: We don't give last names. I am the only Sandy recruiter in the company.

Bosslady: Ok so I had an email with Janet GRADY listed.

Recruiter: She is not on live chat

Bosslady: So what is the name of the company I will work for?

Recruiter: We are a Medical Transcription company. The corporate office is located in Wilmington, DE. We have been in business since 1997. We train and hire our own transcriptionist. We don’t require the 2 – 3 years experience as most companies do. We have over 200 transcriptionists training and working with us on contracts we have with doctors all over the United States.

Recruiter: All of our contact information is on the terms of service

Recruiter: http://www.nhce.net/applicationnhce.htm

Recruiter: Please go back and re read the terms of service as all of this information is listed in them

Bosslady: Ok I did read every word and the Comapny name listed in my email was different from what was on the website, thats why I asked.

Recruiter: They are affiliated

Bosslady: Ok I cant find any information on American Fidelity Medical

Bosslady: Hello???

Recruiter: We gave you all of our information in the terms of service

Bosslady: No that cant be all of the information because that information is about a different company and since I did put most of my personal information into that system I feel a little incomfortable about the fact that you can not tell me anything about American Fidelity Medical. But what I did find when I researced this company was very disturbing. So maybe me you can help me that information.

Bosslady: with that information..

Recruiter: The only information I have is what I've given you.

Bosslady: So your working for a company and you dont know that they are on the FLAKELIST Sandy?

Recruiter: I'm not sure what you could find disturbing about us as we are a medical transcription company

Bosslady: http://flakelist.org/page/viewpub/tid/1/pid/5786

Recruiter: Yes we have seen that

Bosslady: THIS IS VERY DISTURBING

Recruiter: Please remember that the internet is uncensored and people can say anything they want and they don't have to give their name and they don't have to offer proof. Also keep in mind that there are those people who have a difficult time admitting failure and so they find someone else to blame. The people who are happy don't need a forum to vent.

Recruiter: I am aware of the references made to our company being a scam on the internet. I would point out to you that the internet and its chat boards are an unregulated medium of communication. We cannot believe everything that we find there. We must also do our own research from other sources to know if we are getting good or bad information.

If we were a scam and only wanted to take your money, then why would we spend the money on tech support and personal trainers to guide you through this program? I can assure you there is a lot of overhead involved in supplying tech support and trainer support via email and Live Chat on a weekly basis.

It is in our best interest to get you trained and qualified as quickly as possible so that we do not continue to incur that overhead, however, we have sold our services to the medical community based on a high degree of accuracy from our transcriptionists and that is what we strive for.

Medical Transcription is a very challenging field. Most companies require a minimum of 2 years of experience even if you have graduated from a medical transcription school. Consider that you are typing medical reports for real people and those reports can be used in life or death decisions. They need to be accurate.

The people that have not qualified in our program have not been able to achieve the degree of accuracy that we have stated up front that we require. I would also like for you to consider that some of those people may have had no prior medical transcription experience or school.

We still accept them into our training program and we will work with them as long as it takes, but it will take someone with no experience in the field longer to qualify than someone who has had experience. Good luck to you and great success in what you do.

We wish you well!

Recruiter: You sound as if you believe people just because they speak negative.

Recruiter: I've given you all of our information, and I'm speaking with you on live chat. Someone that probably has never worked with our company has written negative things and you'd rather believe them

Bosslay: ALL OF THIS INFORMATION YOU JUST PUT HERE WAS PRETYPED AND READY FOR THE QUESTIONS I APPROACHED YOU WITH, NO THATS NOT HOW I SOUND BUT EVEN MY COMPANY CAN BE FOUND ON THE INTERNET AND ITS NOT ON THE FLAKELIST AND I HAVE NOPT BEEN IN BUSINESS AS LONG AS THIS COMPANY HAS. SO WHAT I DO BELIEVE IS THAT PEOPLE DONT JUST MAKE UP THINGS ABOUT EMAILS THAT THEY RECEIVE...AND BY THE WAY THEY DID LIST THERE NAMES.

Bosslady: MOST LEGIT COMPANY WOULD HAVE PUT A REBUTTAL UP TO DEFEND THERE COMPANY.

Recruiter: Okay. You aren't interested. Have a nice day

Nice job, Bosslady! Look at how they dance around your questions and try to make excuses that they are not a scam. Too bad there is not some way to trace the origin of where they are chatting from and press charges against them!!!

American Fidelity Medical

I just got this e-mail yesterday myself. Seems like they're hitting PA too.

Another sounds too good to be true if you ask me too.

I checked the BBB and they don't even have this company listed. That in itself, makes me wary.

It went right to my Spamfighter box and will stay there until I delete it.

Bosslady, you did a great job with your interview. I think "Sandy" may have been reading right from a script.

I hope nobody gets caught up in their hype and scammed.

Thanks everyone and I am even more thankful for this website because for a moment I was believing that this was a legitimate company. But the first thing that came up when I researched the company name was this website and I'm just more than happy I did because I was almost out of $295 the cost for the so called software needed for the job. And SplatCatToo I think Sandy was copying and pasting a script lol!!!

Just got hit on by them.

Just a note that this scam is alive and well. Everything above is accurate. Beware. I typed "shame on you" enough times to tie up something for a bit.

They are now targeting doctors, hospitals and clinics with a first come, first served promo for either a digital and phone transcription service.
