Looks like a counterfeit check scam zulveg

since they want to mail you money and pay you in advance for your services. They will instruct you to deposit the check into your account, wait for it to clear and then wire a portion of the money. The check is fake and you will be in trouble with the bank and legal action can/will be taken against you.

HELP!!!

I recently got the same email, and actually applied and got the 2 checks in the mail, and deposited them into my back account but havnt sent any information...WHAT DO I DO? HOW DO I REPORT THIS? AND WHERE DO I REPORT IT??

FlakeMistress

CMATOS412, DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!!!!!! It IS A SCAM!!!!

Now that they know you put those checks into your account, they are going to drive you crazy with emails (and phone calls if they have your number) wanting to know where THEIR money is. Their FAKE money. They know that it takes a few weeks for the banks to process those checks and if they can get you to send them money before those checks bounce, they can run with it and you'll never hear from them again. IGNORE ALL CORRESPONDENCE from these people.

Since you have already deposited the checks into your bank account, the bank should be where you go, first, and tell your bank that those checks that you deposited are fake and see if they will work with you so you do not inquire bounce fees because those checks WILL be bouncing.

Next, contact your local police department and see if you can file a report to protect yourself. This way if you do inquire bounce fees and other financial problems, you can show that you took action and filed a report. Sometimes police departments are very helpful with this type of scam; other times they aren't. It just depends on the city from what I am hearing.

Feel free to report the scammers here into our Flakelist database. If you need any help please let me know. That's what we're here for. ☺

Me Too!!

I received the exact same email. I'm in NY. The red flags for me was 1) they need me to collect packages and re mail them overseas; 2) no contract; 3) they got my email from the chamber of commerce; 4) they need me to "shop" for them. Non of that sounds right. I'm glad I found this sight, I almost feel for it-tough job market over here. So, be aware-IT'S A SCAM!!! I remember a young mother in Texas that was arrested in front of her young children and husband for doing a work at home job similar to what this add advertises. She was facing charges-federal fraud- last I heard. That's what got me suspicious. DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF!!!

Just got this

I just got one of these last week and I am Colorado. They did leave me a phone number to contact them by. I took all the information and turned it into the cops, although I felt they didn't care at least if something happens it will not come back on me.
